Yeah, I've been quiet lately. Except for moblogging pron LOL.
Since my wife and I separated in August, I've lost 35 lbs, gained back 6 lbs, started smoking, stopped smoking and started again. I've also been suffering from severe back pain. Tried chiropractic but it failed to relieve the pain, so my doc prescribed some meds, which I am very thankful for because the pain was extremely limiting my ability to function normally. *breathes a sigh of relief*
I have a new roommate, but it's more than that. We're close friends. We take trips together. We cook each other breakfast and play with each others' cats
. It's been very nice to have someone nearby to witness my life and fill my days with sweet moments. Jen's very good to me and I appreciate her presence in my life. I love her dearly.Music.... I'm on a musical sabbatical at the moment. After a couple of years of heavy band scheduling and performing, I needed rest and new energy. I'm taking time to soak in the world around me, watching bands I've been listening to frequently and spending weekends on leisurely activities rather than constantly setting up PA equipment. I've also been slowly contemplating the next steps for Novachild. I bought back my Takamine guitar and will be incorporating that into my sound when I get back into the mix. Jonas is enjoying the chance to play a few solo gigs, too, and when the time is right we will get back on the bandwagon :)
My new Sony Cybershot digicam has brought a new kind of obsession into my life. I love taking snapshots and I carry it wherever I go. Between my frantic photography and Jen's keen photoshopping, I will have lots of photos to share soon.
My new car is also a thrill, though it's hitting me pretty hard in the wallet. Still, I find the expense to be worthwhile. My PA fits perfectly in the back of the RAV4, and the gas consumption is better than my previous vehicle.
All in all, things are panning out. Where do I go from here? Hopefully I can afford to get out of the apartment and into a house this Fall, and perhaps I will go back to college in the Springtime. There are so many possibilities and I am in no big hurry to make a decision about my future. I'm enjoying the present and wherever it leads me is a sweet mystery.

I have a good massuese that did wonders for me achin' back. And I know a good PT. I use those because I won't take narcotics.
I've got some new stuff on Vox.
