This Weekend

Weekend recap:

Friday night was Jen's graduation. I took 100,000 photos with my new Sony CyberShot. It was short & sweet, and the weather was absolutely perfect. We met later for pizza and drove back to Tulsa late. As soon as we arrived back at the apartment, we dove into dreamland right away.

Saturday... The Blue Dome Arts Festival! It was great fun, much more populated with visitors this year. I took a few pictures that I will post within the next few days. Notable things that stuck out for me... the art car display (specifically the chariot that my friend Curtis built and Tabitha painted for Burning Man last year), the belly dancers (I played drums and hung out for a bit), the little 'box parade' (you'll see pics later) and buying Jen a tie-dye. I bumped into at least a dozen people... Andrew, Henri & Scott, Art, Jeremy & Co., the guy from Living Arts, and more. It was great fun.

Later Saturday night I went to McNellie's pub to watch Larkin play for awhile, drinking a couple of beers and chatting with some new acquaintances. I wound up at Gypsy Cyber Cafe, then I drove home exhausted.

Sunday Jen and I visited the (lame) Mayfest, breezing through it as quickly as possible before hitting the matinee to watch Spider Man 3. I seriously don't understand a lot of the criticism this movie received, because we both thought it was great fun and emotionally charged, at least as good as #2 and a bit better than the first. I hope they make at least one more. I would love to see Hobgoblin & possibly The Lizard and more of Carnage. And definitely more of Gwen Stacy. :)

After the movie, we settled down at the apartment a bit before driving back to Okmulgee. Soon I won't have to make that trek every weekend. *sigh*

Will post pics as soon as I can get round to it.
