Poetry in Tulsa

A tacky photo of myself reading poetry at Saffron accompanies this article in the Urban Tulsa this week. You have to obtain the printed version to see the godawful shot of me they published... not that it was their fault I was so unprepared! The article itself is a challenge to we local poets to come together as a force. I'm delighted to consider the possibilities.

I am honored to be the visual ambassador for Tulsa poets in the Urban Tulsa this week, even if I look a bit naff in the photo. I have no working scanner, so you'll just have to pick up a copy. I have a few extras if anybody wants one.

On the subject of poets, I want to publicly announce my delight in discovering another fantastic local poet (filmmaker, beer connoisseur, conversationalist) Captain Chambers. He is leaving Tulsa to pursue a more fulfilling life out West, and with him his significant other, Fae, who challenges my belief that angels do not exist. Bon voyage! I will miss you!
