I Will Admit...
5/08/2005
I will admit to two things tonight, and I expect all of my readers to do the same (comment away):
1. I occasionally read rotten.com.
Yes, the sick, unbelievably twisted underbelly of the lowest, most baseless human indignities is at least a bimonthly infotainment session for me. That said, I dug up a couple of stories from rotten.com that might interest the average TFI reader (speaking as if I'm some sort of regular rag for rabid fans of a hardworkin' everyman like myself).
Story #1: Eat your fucking heart out, Adolf Hitler, before the US FDA digs you up to bronze it for their flagpole. FDA wants sperm banks to bar donors who've had gay sex. Come on.
Story #2: Live maggots found inside M&M candy bars bought at Boca gas station. Think about that next time you go reaching for a movietime snack.
2. I'm Occasionally an Asshole.
Just ask my mother, my wife, my high school sweetheart, and a few dozen other people that have known me for awhile. I admit that I'm occasionally a knee-jerk quick-to-judge type of guy, but usually I'm just trying to be funny and my occasionally dark and twisted sense of humor just doesn't go over well with others. Which is why I tend to stay indoors a lot and away from social settings. But this week the minister at Church asked the congregation to spend the next week nurturing ourselves. So I no longer wish to be judged for my hot-headedness. I'm in the here and now, a divine expression of the cosmos. And that's the way it's going to be.
Nevertheless, this unfortunate bloke received the wrath of my ass-hole-ishness tonight (go ahead; it's probably an entertaining and enlightening read). Not that I regret anything I say, but I probably could have been a little cheekier and less testosterone. But what can I say? Nobody's perfect.
That's all I got 2nite. It's Mother's day, and though I missed the opportunity to actually talk to my mother (got an answering machine), there's a nice fire and some cold drinks waiting for me at the in-law's house down the street. It was a nearly purrrrfect day (with a 'cat' theme, I might add), and I'm happy.
I wish I had time to post a review of the latest episode of DW, but I just don't. And it's likely that I won't be posting much in the days to come because this week is insanely busy at work.
Another satisfying spring weekend in the can. Cheers.

I will admit to:
One - lacking the self dicipline to do the things I really need done. I always postpone everything to last minute.. ugh!
Two - I find Neopets very amuzing, although most people on there are half my age.
Posted Interview meme questions for you in my blog :)
