I am now officially the saddest and most angry person in the world. This was my absolute favorite series. No other show has been graced with the amount of talent and originality that Carnivale had. And now it's gone, before the story could even be finished.
What really pisses me off is that when the series began, HBO execs fawned over the 'fact' that they didn't have to depend on good ratings the way network stations did, that because they get all their money from subscriptions, they could afford to be a little more creative, daring and engaging. Seems they've changed their tune. And it's a huge slap in the face of the cast, the crew, and the fans: everybody involved in the show.
Fuck HBO. Fuck Caroly Strauss. And to hell with everyone involved in making the decision to cancel this much-loved, AWARD-WINNING series. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
