Armageddon Eve! Get Ready!
4/08/2005
Of all the things that might appear in my mailbox today, this arrived.
My gut instinct was to vomit, then hop in the car and find the sick bastards who sent this sad, wasteful piece of rubbish to my mailbox. But no, I think twice, and the second time around I chuckle a little bit. I had nearly forgotten how fun 'fringe christianity' can be. Not that any self-respecting christian would even give these nutjobs the time of day.
Apparently, this seminar is the "Eve of Armageddon," so we'd better watch out for April 24! Woo hoo. I'm even tempted to show up; after all, it's not too far away from where I live and I'd like to know what kinda sick shit is going on in my backyard. Plus I might just start writhing around in the isles. Bring some split pea soup and learn a few latin phrases. Could be fun.
"And don't forget to bring your kids!" How sick is that? "The end of the world is coming, but we can offer you hope and confidence.' Yeah, right. Women and children first, as long as they are southern fucking baptists. At least they promise to reveal who the antichrist really is. And all this time I thought it was me.
This fear-borne anti-intellectual bullshit is what is keeping people in bondage. It's nothing but a freakshow, not even a very good one, designed to exploit the deepest of all fears in a destitute population, suck their wallets dry, and move to the next town. I'm really considering attending. This is like the "Backward Masking" seminars my parents used to go to, only ten times nuttier. I thought christians were supposed to be out there helping the poor, the sick, and the unfortunate, practicing compassion and love, not spreading hate and fear like a bunch of sheet-wearing klansmen or zealous nazi. This is a sad, pathetic bunch, and I can't wait to meet 'em.
I wonder if Jack Chick will be there? haha
Addendum: I love how they don't even bother to mention who is putting on the show. And a whois search on their domain reveals absolutely nothing. I wonder what they have to hide? This prompts me to consult the mighty google and get some straight answers.
The mailing lists the 'From' Address as Northwest Evangelism Institute - a PO Box in Vancouver, WA. Hmm. I google on.
Here's another victim of the mailing. He/she seems to be just as irritated as I was.
This url comes up in the search: http://www.atomorrow.com/. Looks like a 7th Day Adventist messageboard. More searching reveals Sureword Ministries. Looks like a patch job and a bunch of nutcases to me. I can see now why they wouldn't want to advertise their denomination here. Tulsa is overrun with Baptists and Evangelicals, and Adventists aren't really at home here (of course, neither are Pantheists, but I just can't seem to leave). So better they keep that part a secret so they can sell a few books and sermons on tape before they skip town, eh?
A little more searching. The name BJ Boles pops up. So I search that name and I find http://www.discoverprophecyseminars.com/. Yep, looks like nearly the same shit. Bobby Boles is the speaker for this particular event, and he promises that "The bible will be our only textbook" (no wonder these guys are such idiots). Which is a statement also published on the flyer I received. So I think I might've found our culprit. Bobby Boles and the 7th Day Adventists.
My favorite line from his bio:
"All will be thrilled as they study the Scriptures in a relaxed, non-threatening atmosphere."
So tell me if any of these seem particularly non-threatening to you.
- - The New World Order.
- - Discover the future of the late great planet earth.
- - Discover exactly how Jesus will return to earth and what will happen during the rapture.
- - Before this presentation is over, you will know who the beast is.
- - Find out how the antichrist beast gets his power and what the number 666 is all about.
- - The Time of the End.
- - Showdown at the New Jarusalem.
- - "The Eve of Armageddon"
Bobby Boles is the pastor of the Cherokee Seventh Day Adventist's Church in Woodstock, Georgia. Not to far from another friend's house. So it looks like this "Discovery Prophecy Seminars" is just a front organization for an Adventist nutcase and his loopy end-times rant. He apparently USED to pastor at Atlanta North Church. But he's no longer listed at their web site. I wonder what he did?
Why are Adventists Scary?
Remember WACO? The Branch Dividians are an offshoot sect of the Adventist Church.
Here's some info on the Adventists.
During this search, he (William Miller, the founder of the Adventists) came upon Dan. 8:14, the 2300-day prophecy. The cleansing of the sanctuary he understood to mean, as did most of contemporary Christendom, the purification of the world by fire, or the second Advent of Christ. After elaborate study of this prophecy in its Biblical context, he concluded that this period would end between 1843 and 1844.One would think that after the founder was proven wrong, they'd all pack up and head home. But apparently not. While this isn't scary, per se, it is a little foolish, and I can't imagine anyone with a brain cell in their head would believe their doctrines.
And here's the truly creepy part:
U.S. membership is about three quarters of a million but Adventists have maintained an aggressive foreign missions program. Worldwide membership is estimated at 9.7 million, in 205 different countries. Sabbath School attendance boasts some 11.4 million members.
Poor kids. They'd be better off in homeskool.
And to top that off, Elizaphan Ntakirutimana, a former Adventist pastor in Rwanda, was sentenced by a UN Tribunal for assisting in genocide.
Well, I got a curse from a Christian the last time I had a long rant like this. So I don't expect any less this time. At least I agree with the vegetarian diet bit. That's an excellent way to practice compassion.
Looks like it'll be a fun conference, then.

I thak you for your words of wisdom. I am a Christian. i have tried hard to find out more about the flyer i got in my mailbox a few days ago, and was having trouble. I came across yur article and you made it clear to me that this is going to be exactly what I thought it would be. I may still attend, as I am worried about the impact that this group will have on family, friends and neighbors ect.... Some people are so willing to believe anything. I know we don't probably have the same beliefs, but we are on the same page, and you seem to be very insightful, and I thank you for sharing. Keep it up. CJC

'The Apocalypse Has Arrived' screams out from the 4 color piece that arrived in my mailbox today.
I tried very hard to find a phone number for prophecyseminars.com but drilling down anywhere on their site produces zero contact info. Googling for Northwest Evangelism Institute brought me to your site.
I would like to demand they never darken my mailbox again. I would call them idiots and fools but they are not. They are clever, smart and I truly think anything BUT honest.
I was raised in the Presbyterian church but haven't bothered with any of it for about fifty years. I'm almost sixty five. I'm a raging centrist, politically, and believe that you are, I am, WE are God. The power (whatever you choose to call it) is not living in outer space somewhere but deep within our subconscious. We -- as citizens of the planet -- are ALL connected. That's the power.
End of rant and a sincere thank you for your blog!

I just got a flyer for a "prophecy explosion" here in my home town. I had no idea where to begin to get info on these vile human beings, and you're post proved most helpful. Thank you so much, and I want you to know that I'm using this information to hand out flyers with a group of people from different faiths outside the conference center this nonsense is being held at. Thanks again, and keep it up. You rock my face off.

Thank you for this post! I have been looking aimlessly for some info on this group to no avail!
The flyer I received this week was Understand Revelation and How Near the End Are We- Signs You Can't Ignore! AND- The Mark of the Beast, The Antichrist and 666. Pretty scary stuff! Almost enough to scare me into going until I couldn't find out just who these people are holding this "free" semenar!
I was thinking of going tonight but thanks to my research and confirmation that this org. is a huge secret cult hiding behind names with no true home....I am staying as far away as I can!
I am however disapointed that I now do not have a couple of hours of "free childcare" for the evening. Lord-what would these people feed my children?!?! - At 12:38 PM, Helen & Jon Cosner said...

I am a Christian too, and I was about to send in for this magazine, but I too wanted more information. I think your comments were very helpful and I wanted you to know that I think a critical voice is most important. This stuff is totally not what Christians all believe and I get so frustrated when groups like the Northwest Evangelism Institute prey on non-critical minds and spread propoganda that, in my opinion is not based on Scripture. Thanks!

I can partially appreciate that you referred to this group as "fringe Christianity", but I wouldn't even go that far. The SDA's doctrines state that Christ is no more than another name for Michael the archangel, just like the Jehovah's Witnesses believe. This is not Christianity! Instead, it is closer to the blasphemous teachings of Jewish mysticism and Mormonism. I think legislation should be passed against these people. Who knows what they are doing to people's children in their "free daycare and nursery"? And as far as the idea that everyone on this planet is one, big, collective god (or "power"), I think we can rest assured that no one as imperfect and immoral as you and I could ever truly match up to the infinite perfection and total moral goodness of a truly infinite, omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient God. You may want to be a god, so you can be immoral and not feel bad about it, but I can assure you that God's position is already filled by God. How pathetic when the creation instists that it is the Creator; how pathetic indeed!

Anonymous, there is one point specifically that I will have to disagree with, though I can't say we're on the same page about a number of smaller points, either. Still, I appreciate your input and understand your fervent displeasure.
"This is not Christianity!"
My parents are both devout Protestands, and they feel the same way about Catholics for various reasons. What has thus far turned me off about Christianity are the schisms and lines drawn in the sand between denominations and sects. Every religion has them, and from my perspective, these points are so often mere trivialities that have absolutely no bearing on the spiritual life.
Was Michael actually Jesus? Does it matter? Does it change a word Jesus might have spoke? Does it alter the meaning of Christianity to the millions of people who claim to practice it? Does this 'conclusion' undermine the precepts of Christianity, to love thy neighbor, to turn the other cheek, to be compassionate and brave and virtuous and gentle and honorable and moral etc.? Is the point relevant to a 'personal relationship with the Divine.'
I simply can't see anyone being harmed by this idea. In much the same way as Pentecostals speak in the 'tongues of angels,' I think they have the same right to be obnoxious about their theology as anyone else.
What is 'Christianity?'
Simple question. An infinity of answers. If someone out there doesn't like the answer, they only have to pick up a different translation or take a few verses out of context to justify their position. There is no "Bible Police" preventing people from relating to it in different ways, though nearly every sect/denomination pretends to wear the badge.
I'm not a Christian - for the record - though I respect everybody's right to be what they want to be. I agree that Christianity offers a great deal to a great number of people. However, the Christianity that is often peddled in the world today, from one extreme to the other, seems to me to offer mostly a hollow echo of what living a spiritual life really is.
That about sums up my opinion on the matter. - At 2:57 PM, novachild said...

I can't even begin to say how in aww I am about this flyer and my findings on it. It's a day like any other - I watch the news lately amd I have my own fears and anxities about the world and times. I also lately have begin to find God and have alot of questions. I am exploring relegion and learning the bible for the first time at 30. I was baptized a cathloic and was raised in those belives. I AM VULNERABLE. Then I get this in the mail today in Oct. These people are cumming to my little town in the middle of nowhere - for free? IT'S A SIGN!!!!!!!!So I tell my husband - rationaly he says Google what you can - I did - This was the first hit - IT'S A SIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hello - This is the biggest scam of selfish sinners ever. But it is sad that there are people out there, and people like me. And how they use and play with life facts and use God to profit at the cost of putting fear and sorrow in famalies. Thank you for just making sense.

Thanks for your dilligent info on this SDA group. I am presbyterian and these so called "christians"are not. The truth needs to be spread that these ass holes wont sucker in gullable baptisits where I live, they will fall for anything.
When it ends, we will KNOW, it's quite simple, how can they prevent an event horizon or sympathize when they dont know their christianity? I know mine, these people need to be exploited. They are the 666. - At 9:30 PM, said...

Hello all! Interesting reading indeed! I happen to love the Bible and know that what is being taught here is of the Bible and of God. I am not a part of this organization, but what is being taught is exactly what we need to hear! If you really want to stand up.....attend the meetings and listen and then prove the points wrong. We need to study to show ourselves approved! Thanks for reading.....

Thank you very much for your diligent research into the source of this outrageous material! I am a hospital Chaplain and ordained minister from a large Evangelical Christian non-denominational church. Someone handed me a flyer for this "seminar" currently being presented in the small southern Arkansas town where I presently live. I, like others, am concerned as to how this will affect my community... I am shocked that someone would be so bold to send out such information without giving a real name or an affiliation. This speaks volumes about character and integrity - it's missing. My next observation was the material was all "white" - Christ depicted as some handsome white guy and all white folks in the advertising - this was a big red flag. To me this material is not just blasphemy, but racist as well. What happened to USA, the melting pot?... As Christians we all need to THINK, not just swallow some garbage because it sounds like something our preacher said that we never had time to check out for ourselves. This seminar is nothing more that a recruitment for those who have weak theology and are willing to believe anything that brings them comfort, anything that makes what they believe right... Again, I thank you for your work to expose this garbage and hope that your page answers questions for many seeking guidance. Bravo!

Interesting perspective. Is it possible that despite some heretics out there, that someone may actually have a good interpretation of the Bible and Bible prophecy? It can be quite interesting once one gets a clearer understanding. Not every preacher on the planet is a scammer. I was once taught to "not judge a book by it's cover."
I know some people who went to one of these seminars and they really appreciated what they learned. - At 12:09 PM, said...

Well, this group has arrived in our city as well, as of April 7th, much to my displeasure. Their full page newspaper ad, and 'mail flyer' tells of the fascinating presentations: "666, the Antichrist and the Mark of the Beast, America in Prophecy which their comment...what surprising role does the US play in unfolding the last day events? Will it be a dominant role or will the nation collapse, particularly irked me and reference to the "Left Behind' Tim LaHaye Rapture books...
These are groups that are giving "Chrisianity" a really bad name, and those of us who are Christians and refuse to believe this Political Postured Cult of nonsense, really must stand up.
The speakers for this event are Jac Colon and his wife Dena. His resume is former Air Force Officer, as per a Google search.
We must be vigilant, as these Far Right Radicals are collecting 'Votes', as is their goal. - At 9:08 PM, Seven Star Hand said...

Verifiable proof that "Armageddon" has begun...
Funny you should have this conversation now. I too received this mailing and thought I'd do a little web research. Unlike most of you, I have a very personal interest in false prophecy and the deceptions imposed in the name of religion. I've written an extensive expose' proving that Christianity is a purposeful deception. Also, an apocalypse is a great and stunning revealing of information, which I am now doing...
I know many readers of this site will want to scoff at this information before bothering to pay attention to the details. I have produced comprehensive and verifiable proof that the original pre-Christian Apocalypse (Book of Revelation) was a symbolically encrypted wisdom text that was stolen and modified by the founders of Christianity. I demonstrate a series of specific and undeniable proofs of verifiable fraud in the Christianized Book of Revelation, which also appear throughout the New Testament.
Furthermore, I have produced stunning and comprehensive proof that the ancient symbology used to construct sealed Hebrew texts is an ancient philosophical technology.
The ancient symbolism used in The Apocalypse and other Hebrew prophecies and wisdom texts predates Christianity, Judaism, modern secret societies, and mystery schools by thousands of years. While in the hands of Christianity, The Apocalypse and its symbology have been purposely misinterpreted, recast, and misrepresented. The original Hebrew document was a multi-purpose narrative constructed using layered and synchronized ancient wisdom symbolism. Its true purposes, features, and functionality are detailed in my book, further demonstrating that it was a symbolically encrypted Hebrew wisdom text encoding prophecy, philosophy, and scientific wisdom that was stolen and fraudulently modified by the founders of Christianity.
If your goal is to seek the truth and present verifiable evidence of religious fraud, then read my book and direct Christians to read it also. Challenge them to prove me wrong. The E-Book is a free download and I make no money from it or the paperback. Not only do I talk the talk, I walk the walk.

I use to be a 7th Day Adventist pastor and this "Revelation Seminar" isn't that at all. It is a cleaverly disguised evangelistic series to get people to join their denomination. I walked away from that church in the middle of one of these seminars (that I had to teach)and told every one to please go home as this isn't a seminar. The SDA Church hides their identity because they want to "give people an opportunity to hear the truth and not be held back by the SDA name." Hey, if the church has "the truth" then it should have nothing to hide! I just received one of these brochures in the mail in my area which is being held at the "Gladstone Conference Center." Yea right!

Wow, I've never read such attacks! What am I missing? I've recently read up on the info the SDA guys have been putting out there, and it's seriously bible-based...everyone has their own interpretation of course, but the SDA positions SEEM pretty valid, not at all worthy of the sharp attacks. So what is it, exactly, they are so wrong about that makes some of you say they aren't Christians, and all the rest of the criticism?? Seriously, I'd like to see some scripture comparisons, or whatever, posted here. Thanks.

I attended one of the seminars 25 years ago. It was absolutely based on scripture. It is very sad to read your comments when you apparently are assuming instead of taking the time to attend and hear for yourself. As for the topics, all Christians should wake up. There's a lot ahead and we should be prepared. So before you begin condemnation because the topics don't sound like a "warm fuzzy" go and listen to the WORD and let the Holy Spirit do the rest!!

I am a CHRISTIAN Seventh-day Adventist and have been for most of my 50 years. I was raised in a loving, conservative home that taught me the value of education, respect, kindness, service to others, and living my faith. I am familiar with the mail flyers to which you refer. In fact, I can even say I attended the same university as Dena Colon, and even lived in the same women's dorm as she did.
Has it ever occurred to all of you that maybe, just maybe there is someone out there in cyberspace that is truly searching for some meaning to life? I am not saying that these seminars are "the answer". I am also not saying that everything that is presented is going to be crystal clear the first time it's heard. Hence, the phrase "Bible STUDY". But then again, how much of our daily life goes without questioning?
To be a Christian is more than just sending flyers to a specific zip code. Being a Christian entails doing what Christ admonished his followers to do..."Preach the Gospel to all the world". Adventists are certainly not "secret cultists", and we are much more than the legalist soybean-eaters others erroneously portray us to be.
Adventists have one of the largest Protestant educational system in the world, comprised of over 90 colleges and universities, high schools, more than 5000 elementary schools, AND medical schools, theological seminaries, and other various teaching institutions. We operate publishing companies around the globe, and run award-winning telecommunication systems. We certainly are NOT hiding being our denomination's name.
We believe in healthful living (check out the National Geographic report, November 2005).
I will be the first to admit that not every Adventist lives according to the doctrinal beliefs, but I will also say that I don't pretend or profess to know what's in everyone's heart.
Before you are so quick to make judgment based on a "google" search, or to hear the humorous, absurd and even inaccurate blogs of others, I would challenge you to seek out an Adventist. Ask him what he believes. Ask her why she lives the way she does. Don't allow others to pattern your way of thinking simply because of a flyer they received in their mailbox.
I resent being grouped together with the wording of "sick bastards." I wonder.....if Armageddon DOES occur, how are YOU going to feel knowing you didn't take advantage of a "seminar" to learn about it. That, in itself, causes ME to "chuckle a bit". :-)
blessings.....

It is March 2007. I am interested in finding out what Novachild has discovered about Jac Colon and the 7th day Adventists so far. I have just seen three sermons of Jac Colon on broadband and I like his presentations. To me, a skeptic of just about everything, he sounded very convincing. I didn't feel threatened, coerced, terrorised, or even persuaded. He has left enough room for me to make up my own mind based on my own 'studies'.
I think he needs a fair hearing - not a biased presumption of guilt. And Adventists are not a secret cult. They are open and easily accessible, if only one wants to seek them out. I know a Presbyterian Church, near Washington, DC, which shared its facilities with local Adventists - a majority of whom were from the Indian subcontinent. I didn't find any conflicting issues between either groups. In fact, even today the choirmaster for those Adventists is a Presbyterian - a fine Christian gentleman from what I hear. - At 6:33 PM, said...

Novachild - I may not agree with all you said, I may not agree with all that was written by others who have responded, but I am glad you saved me time looking for information on the net. We received REVELATION NOW today in the mail.
I believe in the end times, but I do believe this is garbage.
To the gentleman who stated that Revelations was totally changed by Christians, haow do you explain Daniel - second part of Daniel procedes what Revelations shows us. It was written in a different time and by a different man, but ir was all God inspired. Check it out. - At 4:06 PM, said...

Should Christians swear?
I am digusted that you all so-called Christians are so narrow and closed minded that you will not even look into our doctrines which are all based on the Bible and the Bible only. We SDA's are not hypocrites like you lot, we follow the Bible 100%. We don't follow the traditions of the Roman Church State unlike most Protestants.
If the SDA is a cult then I am proud to belong to a cult but you better remember that the early Christians were called Jews and were accused of being in a cult "The Sect of the Nazarenes." - At 3:11 PM, Bro. David Hitt, Sr. said...

Anyhow, what if they do know who the last leader is, and he happens to be your next door neighbour - now wouldn't you want to know so you will never let him borrow anything again... :-O
Liten, all jokes aside - the end is near, but most of these self proclaimed prophets and interprters of Biblical Prophecy know about as much as my pet dog.
Know how I found your blog? Well it seems these lil ole fellers are visiting my fair city. Will I go? Probably not, but one thing is for sure - God will be there, and if they muddle His Word too much, they might just become 'past history' instead of 'distant future'.
Sure eschatology is important, but spreading the Gospel is a direct command from God to His Chidren - sorta makes one wonder - does it not. (The Gospel; Salvation is through Jesus and His finished work, His death burial, and resurrection, and that alone)
Yes Jesus is coming back!!! In His own time. I could ask do you (all who read this) know Jesus - but a better question would be does Jesus know you???????
Well I best be on my way.

I am now a Seventh Day Adventist (previously from the Lutheran denomination). I love Lutheran's, Presbyterians, Baptists, Catholics, Athiests, and all human beings as Jesus loves all people without prejudice. So does my worldwide family of Seventh Day Adventists. If we didn't love Jesus so much, we wouldn't keep sharing the what he asks us to - the TRUTH. I find the majority of comments here against Seventh Day Adventist, have been based on nothing but biased idle gossip! Aren't we all capable of doing our own research and making our own decisions. There are signs all around you to tell you something is about to happen. Let's stop following the crowd and start following JESUS. If you REALLY want to search for truth, you will have an attitude to search with an open mind, and be ready to accept true information without prejudice towards the messanger. TRUTH IS TRUTH NO MATTER WHO BRINGS IT.

Whilst we have been lead again to the muddied brook of universal Love I think it time we look at a few Scriptures before we fill our bellies with the dark waters of 'false-hood'
Psalms 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
also,
Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Comparing these Scriptures with the now poplar claim that "God Loves Everybody without any reserve" sorta makes one scratch his lil ole head a few times - does it not???
Christ never once asked us to spread the 'TRUTH'!!! He did however command us to spread the Gospel of Jesus!!! We are to Preach, Witness, and Spread the 'So Saith the Lord' from the Word - NOT - some far flung interpretation of "What we thought He said".
Truth is Truth - but I am quite sure the 'truth' that atom bombs kill was not sent by a messenger of God to the citizens of Hiroshima in August of 1945!!! Truth is not a private thing either - it is neither owned by Ellen White, nor Martha White no matter what Flatt and Scruggs might say... :-)
There is a truth to Eschotology - but it is not promoted by these lil ole circus shows. To find the Truth you must be lead by the Holy Spirit, to be so lead you must first be Saved through the Blood of Christ and that alone. Eschatology, nor the study of it NEVER Saved anyone!!!!!!!
I care very little what a man believes about the future of this fallen world, but I do care what kind of relation he has with God in the here-and-now!!!!!!!
Money could be far better spent on the promotion of the Gospel than on one's promoting a slanted view on Prophecy. DO YOU HAVE THE TRUTH??? Then promote that - for the "REAL TRUTH" is Christ and His finished work of the Gospel - also His Father's Sovereign choice of who will and who will not be drawn to receive that 'TRUTH'.

My girlfriend just got a mailer from these guys earlier this month (Sept. 2007). It's a bilingual (English/Spanish) "Explore Prophecy" flyer, touting an event in Denver/Aurora, Colorado.
No website/email info is given this time, just 800 numbers to register for the event. After a little Googling, and seeing other comments online, these guys seem to hide their tracks fairly well. I will do more research. Basically, she just wants to get off these guys' mailing lists, but they're cagy bastards. At the very least, I may tie up their 800 lines for an hour or two, registering fake people created with http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/

What may or may not be the quirkiest, most idiosyncratic Christian denomination from the inside, may appear stark and wild from the outside.
I'm an Adventist, and I have my frustrations with it, but those of you who haven't met an Adventist and continue to slander them may have already missed the memo. I haven't met a meeker bunch of people.
Don't write those seminars off as fire-and-brimstone rantings, they typically dote heavily on bible prophecy, and rely on ancient scriptural text.
For the first ten or so repliers, novachild, and anyone else so dispensed with the Seventh Day Adventist church, I can only feel sorry for you: your paranoia and your shortsighted apathy won't give you any big answers. If organized religion turns you off, skip it. Get a Bible and read it. (try an NIV if you're frustrated with "thee" and "thou")

Hello
I'm a Seventh Day Adventist. A so called 'heinious' out to deceive evil person and all the other names many people used to describe my church on this website.
If i started saying Brad Pitt was a horrible evil man just because the National Enquirer and a couple of other mags said he was, how true would that statement be? At the end of the day you make some randomn judgements about people and truths you've never actually heard or listened to. So you don't like the Bible or hate the idea of religion; do you need to insult people you don't know over it? Would you be saying the same thing if your mum or spouse was an SDA - lets get some perspective on the issue people.
I challenge you to go to the seminar ,take your questions and accusations with you and see if what you thought about SDA's is true.
Jesus got the same treatment from so called righteous people when he was on earth. The pharisees spread it around that Jesus was of the devil(how ironic - check Matthew 10:25).
What people believe may not make sense to you but is that reason to start attacking them. God teaches us to respect and love others - in a social and moral sense. One of the main reasons why the world is in the state it is in is because we don't follow that command.
God bless you all..and i don't mean it in a sarcastic tone. God really cares about each one of us and doesn't want to lose any of us to the devil and his lies. He is jealous for you and he wants you in his kingdom.
Kia
