But I find it extremely convenient that - on the very same day Republican Senators overwhelmingly approved adding Alaskan Refuge oil drilling to the federal budget - two news celebs (Peterson and Blake) were finally nailed in, thus taking away valuable talking head time on all the major stations.
In fact, I surfed for about 2 hours last night trying to catch a glimpse of news on Alaskan Oil, and I couldn't find anything - except a 10 second clip on a local news channel (CBS)
All conspiracy theories aside, I finally realized why I read less fiction these days. In my reading prime, I devoured mostly horror stories and fantasy (not the dwarf and wizard kind so much). But in the last three years, nothing has been more horrific than the state of affairs I've witnessed in the news every day. What these religious zealots (calling themselves politicians) are doing to the world is much more horrific. Perhaps republicans are really a Cthulhu cult?
Better get out my elder sign....
