GOP vs. Frodo Baggins

Man, some hostile politicking going on in my country right now. The GOP are reminding me of the Great Eye of Sauron, bent on finding their ring to control Middle Earth. Meanwhile, we need a Frodo and Sam and Merry and Pippin and Strider and Legolas and Gimli and Gandalf.... etc.
The more hateful attacks from the right, the more nauseated I get. Then there's the scrubbing of the White House web site, just in time for the Swift Vet's ads against the AARP (curious coincidence?).
If that isn't enough, there is speculation that the US is going to wage war on Iran. It's got me so bent out of shape; I haven't been this worried about the state of my country since, well, yesterday.
We need some heroes right about now. Some real outspoken people to take on the sinister mechanisms of the Bush white house. Someone to step up to the plate and lay it out for everybody, someone with universal clout and a deep desire to reveal the Truth. Who would that be?
